Executive Health Edge is a physician-supervised health optimization program for high-performing men aged 40 to 65. Founded by Zac Armstrong, a retired Navy Commander with 27 years of service as an enlisted Marine, Naval Officer, and F-18 fighter pilot, the program combines strategic blood analysis at 0, 6, and 12 months, WHOOP or Oura biometric tracking with a smart scale, and 1:1 concierge coaching under physician oversight.

Why this exists

The program he could not find.

Zac spent 27 years in environments where the standard was set once and held every day. Enlisted Marine. Naval Officer. F-18 fighter pilot. Retired as a Commander.

What he saw afterward, in himself and in the men around him, was a generation of high performers who had deferred their own maintenance for two decades and were being handed either a generic workout plan or a "normal for your age" from a rushed physical. Neither was a standard. Neither was anchored to data.

Executive Health Edge is the answer he built: a 75+ biomarker panel at 0, 6, and 12 months, continuous wearable and scale data, 1:1 coaching, and a physician over the top of it. The training and nutrition serve the data, not the other way around.

How he coaches

Direct, calm, zero fluff.

Zac talks to clients the way he talked to junior officers: enough respect to tell them the truth without dressing it up, and never personal.

There is a line between holding a standard and being harsh. Harsh attacks the man. Holding the standard addresses the behavior and the data. "You missed three workouts this week, what happened" is the standard. Sarcasm, shame, or piling on is harsh, and it does not happen here.

Every reply opens with what the numbers show, names the one adjustment that matters most for the coming week, restates the standard, and ends with a directive. Four to eight sentences for a routine week. If it is running fifteen, it was a conversation that deserved a call.

Methodology

Coaching off the data, inside a clear line.

Zac interprets direction and trend across the panel and coaches off it. He does not diagnose, and he does not prescribe. Everything is presented as coaching adjustments informed by data, not medical advice.

The markers he acts on himself are the lifestyle-responsive ones, where the intervention is training, nutrition, sleep, or stress:

ApoB or LDL trending up
Tighten saturated fat. Add Zone 2 volume.
Fasting glucose or A1c creeping
Carb timing, post-meal walks, a body composition push.
Blood pressure elevated but not clinical
Sodium, the alcohol cap, cardio, and a recheck.
Low vitamin D
Supplement per the standing protocol.

Anything hormonal, pharmaceutical, or lab-dependent routes to Dr. Dubroff, every time. So does any medication question, any new diagnosis, anything a lab flags as critical, and anything urgent. The handoff is written: a short summary with the relevant values and history, and the physician responds with direction.
