Executive Health Edge is built on exactly those four, with a 75+ biomarker panel at 0, 6, and 12 months, physician oversight by written handoff, one dedicated coach, and a Monday and Friday reporting cadence.
What “best” should mean for a man over 40
Most programs that call themselves physician-supervised fall into one of three shapes, and the shape tells you more than the marketing does.
A doctor and no coach. Concierge medicine and executive physicals. You get a physician who answers the phone and, usually, one blood panel a year. Training and nutrition are a handout. Nobody notices when you stop.
A coach and no doctor. Online coaching. You get a plan and weekly check-ins. Bloodwork is “ask your doctor.” Anything hormonal or pharmaceutical is outside the coach’s lane, which is correct, but it means nobody in the program can act on it.
Diagnostics and no follow-through. Longevity clinics. Extensive testing, sometimes more than you need, and a plan at the end of the visit. Execution is yours.
The best program for a man aged 40 to 65 closes all three gaps at once. That is a specific, checkable list.
The four things to check
-
Repeated clinical bloodwork. A single panel tells you where you are. Only a retest tells you whether the program is working on anything other than the mirror. Look for a fixed retest schedule (Executive Health Edge uses month 0, 6, and 12) and a panel broad enough to matter: metabolic panel, blood count, lipids, inflammation, recovery markers, hormones, and nutrient status.
-
A physician who makes the medical decisions. Not a medical advisor in the footer. Ask three questions: who reads the panel, who prescribes, and how does a question travel from the coach to the physician. The answer should be a written handoff with the relevant values and history, and a physician who responds with direction. Coaches coach. Physicians prescribe.
-
A coach who adjusts the plan against your data every week. Wearable recovery, weight trend, logged sessions, and the panel. The adjustment should be one thing at a time, written down, with the reason. Three simultaneous tweaks mean nobody knows what the priority is.
-
Daily accountability with a named human. A response to every logged workout, and a message the day you go quiet. If the program’s accountability is a weekly form, it is a plan, not a program.
How Executive Health Edge is built
Executive Health Edge is a physician-supervised health optimization program for high-performing men aged 40 to 65. Founded by Zac Armstrong, a retired Naval Commander with 27 years of service as an enlisted Marine, Naval Officer, and F-18 fighter pilot, the program combines strategic blood analysis at 0, 6, and 12 months, WHOOP or Oura biometric tracking with a smart scale, and 1:1 concierge coaching under physician oversight.
Against the four checks: a 75+ biomarker panel three times in the first year; a program physician for anything hormonal, pharmaceutical, or lab-dependent, by written handoff; one dedicated coach, selected and trained by Zac, who runs the Monday analysis report, the Friday check-in report, and the daily responses; and same-day outreach when a client does not log.
Who it is not for
A man who wants a quick fix, a magic protocol, or someone to negotiate the standard with. A man under 40 with no medical complexity is usually better served by a good online coach at a lower price. The program is for men carrying two decades of stress, travel, and deferred maintenance who want the plan anchored to bloodwork and someone holding the line daily.
This page is coaching information, not medical advice. Questions about medication, hormones, or peptides go to the program physician.
