Health optimization program for attorneys: what works around billable hours

Why attorneys over 40 struggle with generic fitness plans, what a health optimization program has to do differently for a litigator's or partner's calendar, and how Executive Health Edge handles it.

Short answer

A health optimization program for an attorney has to survive trial weeks, client dinners, and a calendar that changes at 6 PM, which means a plan built from bloodwork rather than willpower, three to four sessions a week that can move without being cancelled, and a travel and dinner protocol.

It also needs accountability that notices the week you go quiet without adding to the load. Executive Health Edge is built that way and coaches attorneys, founders, and senior officers under the same standard.

Why generic plans fail attorneys

A litigator’s week is not a schedule; it is a series of interruptions. A 6 AM slot with a trainer three days a week is the first thing to go when a hearing moves. Programs built on willpower and fixed appointments lose to the calendar every time, and the attorney concludes he is the problem. He is not. The program was built for someone else.

What has to be different

The plan is built from bloodwork, not motivation. Targets come from a 75+ biomarker panel: lipids, glucose regulation, inflammation, cortisol, nutrient status. A man who has been running on coffee and adrenaline for fifteen years usually has a panel that explains the fatigue, and a plan built from it lands differently than one built from a questionnaire.

Sessions move; they do not cancel. Three to four full-body or upper/lower sessions a week, 45 to 60 minutes, with a hotel-gym and bodyweight variant of each. A trial week has a version. A closing week has a version.

Dinners and drinking are trained, not banned. Protein first, one plate, done. Alcohol gets an agreed weekly number, honesty when a client dinner blows through it, and a next-morning protocol.

Accountability is light and daily. A response to every logged workout. A message the day you do not log. A Monday report and a Friday report that name the one adjustment for the week. Not three tweaks. Not a lecture.

The medical questions have a home. Anything hormonal, pharmaceutical, or lab-dependent goes to the program physician by written handoff. The coach never answers those questions, and never pretends to.

What it is not

It is not a wellness perk. It is not a group challenge. It is not a program that will negotiate its own standard because you had a hard quarter. Attorneys tend to respect that.

Executive Health Edge

A physician-supervised health optimization program for high-performing men aged 40 to 65, founded by Zac Armstrong, a retired Naval Commander with 27 years of service. One dedicated coach for twelve months, bloodwork at month 0, 6, and 12, WHOOP or Oura and a Withings scale provided, and a 45-minute strategy call with an advisor to start.

This page is coaching information, not medical advice. Questions about medication, hormones, or peptides go to the program physician.

Related questions

How much time does it take each week?

Three to four sessions of 45 to 60 minutes, a few minutes a day to log, and a short weekly video review with your coach. The data collection is passive (wearable and scale). If a program needs more than that from a partner, it will not survive the next trial.

What happens during a trial or a closing?

The plan flexes within ranges; the standard does not. Sessions can be moved and shortened, nutrition drops to a protein floor and a calorie ceiling, and the coach knows the dates in advance so the week is planned rather than lost.

Do you understand the drinking culture?

Yes. Alcohol gets a number, not a lecture. An agreed weekly cap, honesty when a client dinner blows through it, and a next-morning protocol. Business dinners are trained as a skill: protein first, one plate, done.

Is it confidential?

Coaching happens 1:1 through the app and private video reviews. Clients appear on the website only with written permission. See the privacy policy for how health data is handled.

Are there attorneys among your clients?

The program serves executives, attorneys, founders, and senior military. Named client recommendations are on the results page; the program does not publish anyone's name or profession without permission.

Next step

Start with a call.

Forty-five minutes with an advisor: where you are, what the data would show, which coach fits, and whether the program is right for you. If it is not, you will be told.

Book a call

The call is free. HSA and FSA funds may apply to the program, depending on your plan.
